Pink Himalayan Salt, Fine
Pink Himalayan Salt, Fine
No pick needed
Any salt replaces sodium. Pink salt costs more and its trace minerals are too small to matter, so buy whatever salt you like the taste of. Iodised table salt is the cheapest option and also covers iodine.

Sodium is the electrolyte you lose fastest when carbs drop, and plain salt is the cheapest way to put it back. A pinch in water or a properly salted meal does most of the work.
What to look for
- Fine grain for dissolving in water, coarse only if you own a grinder
- Salt as the only ingredient, with no anti caking agents if you prefer
- A large bag or tub, since the price per ounce is far lower than small jars
- Food grade labelling rather than bath or decorative salt
Good to know
General wellness information only, not medical advice. The trace minerals in pink salt are too small to matter, so buy it for taste rather than for health claims. If you have been told to limit sodium, follow your doctor.

The catch
It costs more than plain table salt and offers no meaningful health advantage. Ordinary salt replaces sodium just as well, and iodised salt also covers iodine.
