Psyllium Husk Powder
Psyllium Husk Powder
The ingredient that makes keto bread behave like bread. Psyllium husk forms a gel that gives dough structure and chew, which almond and coconut flour cannot do on their own.
What to look for
- Finely milled powder for baking, whole husk if you mainly want the fiber
- No added sweeteners or flavourings
- Brands that state their product does not turn baked goods purple, a known quirk of some batches
- An airtight tub, since the powder clumps in humidity
How to use it
Two to three tablespoons in a standard keto loaf is usually enough. Always add extra water alongside it, and drink a full glass whenever you take it as a fiber supplement.
