Psyllium Husk Capsules
NOW Foods Psyllium Husk Caps, 500 mg, 500 capsules
Psyllium husk in a plant capsule with nothing sweet added, from a brand that tests its supplements in its own labs. The large bottle helps with the cost per dose, which is the weak spot of capsules.

Cutting grains and fruit removes a lot of fibre from the day, and many people notice it within the first two weeks. Capsules are the no fuss version of the powder used in keto baking.
What to look for
- Psyllium husk as the only active ingredient
- The amount of fibre per serving, and how many capsules that takes
- No added sugar or sweeteners, which the flavoured drink mixes often contain
- Capsule count against price, since a serving is several capsules
Good to know
General wellness information only, not medical advice. Take them with a full glass of water and keep them a couple of hours apart from medication, because fibre can slow absorption.

The catch
You need many capsules to get a useful dose, which makes them much pricier than the plain powder. Mixing a teaspoon of powder into water is cheaper.
